Law is an interesting and diverse career, with many different opportunities and specialisms available. Whether you are interested in becoming a Paralegal, Solicitor or Barrister work experience is a valuable way of gaining an insight into your potential career and building skills for your CV.

Students with legal work experience are more likely to secure a graduate role in Law after their studies as it demonstrates your ability to apply the legal knowledge gained from your studies within the professional environment.

Legal work experience can also be referred to as Pro Bono work, ‘Pro Bono’ means ‘for the public good’ and is a great way to provide legal advice and support to members of the public in need, who may be unable to afford or access other legal services.

Whilst a great way to positively impact the community, Pro Bono work enables Law students to enhance skills and experience in real world legal situations.
