Course: MA in Graphic Design and Art Direction.

Why did you decide to take part in the Futures Award programme?

I’ve decided to get involved in as many projects as I can handle in order to challenge myself. I stayed open-minded about Futures. It’s interesting how many new things you can learn on each activity. It’s also important to be a bit flexible these days.

Has the Futures Award programme given you the confidence to try something that you may not have done before?

As a Graphic Design student I usually work in small groups or pretty much on my own so I believe it’s crucial to get out from your comfort zone and take part in workshops you have never attended before. It’s definitely building confidence and helping to make new connections.

Would you recommend the Futures Award to current students?

At the end of the day it’s up to each student if they want to do something or not but I would definitely recommend to get involved in the Futures Award! Partly because it’s fun and partly because the busier you are the more you get done. It’s healthy.

Has the Futures Award programme helped you to prepare for your future career?

I think it’s still helping me out as Career & Employability Consultants are available all summer. I’ve not only gained a lot of experience and valuable knowledge but also learned the importance of asking the right questions. It’s also very rewarding to be recognised by the University

Can you summarise Futures in one word or sentence?

Just do it.
