Many employers in both the private and public sector use psychometric tests during the recruitment process. They are increasingly being used across all sectors so you may well face them when applying for graduate jobs and placements.
Tests are used to assess the abilities (including numerical and verbal) and personal characteristics of applicants. You may be asked to take a test at the very start of the application process or at an assessment centre and they are generally taken online.
