The Autocar-Courland Next Generation Award is a national student competition to identify, support and develop top automotive talent of the future in which entrants from UK Universities are invited to answer a brief set by Autocar’s editor-in-chief, Steve Cropley. This year’s prize is £7500 and a five-month paid internship shared between competition sponsors Jaguar Land Rover, McLaren, Peugeot, Skoda and Toyota.

Last year’s winner and  finalists have all gone on to secure industry positions at McLaren, Aston Martin and JCB.

Although the competition would suit those from engineering courses, it is open to applicants from all degree disciplines.

The deadline to submit entries for the Autocar-Courland Next Generation Award is 8am on 1st September 2014.
