Just People volunteers are able to work flexibly in a range of criminal justice settings, such as prisons, prison visitor centres, policing, probation, restorative justice, resettlement projects and community chaplaincy schemes to name a few. There are a wide range of roles available within these settings.

Days of the week and hours are flexible depending on the volunteer role. We generally ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months for all our roles, and 16 hours per month where possible.

What are the benefits to the volunteer?

– Gain experience in the Criminal Justice System
– Contribute to the reduction of re-offending
– Meet new people
– Utilise and develop new skills
– Enhance career prospects
– Receive full training
