Riverside have invested time and money in developing their volunteer service across Greater Manchester. Their aim is to have quality volunteers trained up and motivated to work with clients in services across Greater Manchester. The projects are supported accommodations that help the homeless in finding a sustainable living situation and help to tackle the issues that can arise from being homeless.

3 key roles currently being recruited for are:

– Mentors: Mentoring is all about offering one to one support to a client or a group of clients. The mentors offer their services as part of a clients support plan. They usually meet up on a regular basis to offer advice, guidance and generally befriend those who are in need.
– Skill Leaders: Riverside’s echg clients’ really benefit from engaging in different activity and opportunities. Riverside are looking for people to volunteer their skills into our projects and would welcome any talent at all. Recommendations have included ideas such as guitar tuition or translators of a particular language.
– Project volunteers: Project volunteers are those who come into a service to engage with clients and help the running of the project; this is a fantastic opportunity for new volunteers.
